Maria Ross’s Story
“The holiday season is here once again! As I am reflecting on this 2020 year and all that has transpired, I am so very grateful for the mental health services I have received from the Alcott Center.
Without negating all the global changes and troubles we have experienced this year, having a heart full of gratitude has been quite healing and healthy for my mental health.
I am exceedingly grateful for the opportunity to receive mental health services and express self-love by caring and attending to my mental health needs.
Self-care is not selfish. Self-care is an integral part of living a healthy and whole life. During my mental health treatment, I have learned deeper levels of myself that were always present, but I had never made the time to acknowledge and explore, until now; and this has been very healing to my mind, body, and soul.
As I continue to work on myself and experience healing, I can be assured that I am truly loving and caring for myself, and as a result, I am loving others too. Engage in self-care, you are worth it! The greatest gift we can offer others is the most authentic, healthy, and whole version of who we are.”
